Unit & Role Details

• Unit Name: Pingree 4
• Unit Description: 24-Bed Medical Cardiology Unit
• Shift: Nights & Every Other Weekend (EOW), 36 hours per week
• RN to Patient Ratio:

  • Days: 1:5
  • Nights: 1:6

Required Skills & Experience

• Specialty: Telemetry, Cardiology
• Post Cath Care experience including PCI, ICD, PPM, Ablation, TR Band, Femoral approach
• Must be able to read telemetry strips and perform cardiac drips
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years with a strong cardiac background
• Prior travel experience: Not specified (assumed not required)

Licenses & Certifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License (no conditional licenses accepted)
• BLS (required)
• ACLS (preferred; required for all RNs on Observation Unit)

Mandatory Compliance & Health Requirements

• Fit Test (N95 respirator) within 365 days of start date, updated annually
• MGB Medication Exam (80% passing within 365 days)
• MGB Dysrhythmia Exam (80% passing)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
• TB Test documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
• Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break
• Education verification of highest level achieved
• Social Security Number Trace with criminal check
• National Sex Offender Check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start, updated annually

This is a night shift telemetry RN position on a 24-bed medical cardiology unit requiring a minimum of 2 years of strong cardiac experience. Compliance with extensive health screenings, background checks, and credential verifications is required prior to onboarding. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
