Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Worcester, Massachusetts
Job Details

- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Call Policy: Any call outs must be made up at the end of the assignment
Experience Requirements
- Specialty Experience: At least 2 years of ICU experience required (higher value confirmed)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Licensure & Certifications
- License: Massachusetts RN license in hand required
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Certifications Preferred:
- EPIC experience preferred (not mandatory)
Required Documents & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release (updated annually)
- 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (annual update required)
- Education Verification (highest completed education)
- State License Verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification within 30 days prior to start
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start (fitness to work without restrictions)
- Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
- Immunizations and Declinations as applicable:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, NICU, Maternity)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (with specific testing requirements)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (IGG titer, vaccines, or declination)
- Hepatitis B (3 dose series, reactive titer, or declination)
- Varicella (IGG titer, vaccines, history, or declination)
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 Vaccination (most recent vaccine or declination required)
- TB Questionnaire required for all candidates
- References: 2 references within 3 years of start
- Employment Application: Must include 7 years of employment history and explanation of gaps >30 days
- Skills Checklist: Required prior to start and updated annually as applicable
Additional Notes
- Medication and Telemetry competency exams required for RNs
- Some certifications and competencies may be required depending on unit assignment (check specific unit requirements)
- Compliance with facility-specific declinations and documentation policies is mandatory
This position is ideal for experienced ICU Registered Nurses licensed in Massachusetts who meet the certification and compliance requirements and are available for a 13-week travel assignment with a 36-hour workweek.
