Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina

Job Details

• Shift: Nights (Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) including holidays
• Floating: Not required to sister facilities
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes
• Equipment Used: GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens
• Charting System: Epic
• Facility Type: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
• Total Staffed Beds: 733
• Scrub Color: Navy or Khaki

Requirements

• Certification:

  • Must be certified (ARRT-C)
  • BLS certification required
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required
  • First-time travelers accepted
• Licensing:

  • Pending state license not accepted
• Other:

  • No local radius acceptance (must be outside 50-mile radius)
  • Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: No more than 6 days

Certifications & Competencies

• Required Certifications:

  • ARRT-C (certification for CT Tech)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred for certain units
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) for specific units
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) for specific units
• Competency Exams:

  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (annual renewal required)
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) with remediation and retake policies

Background & Health Requirements

• Background Check:

  • Required within 6 months of start date
  • Includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable
  • Convictions within the last year or active cases will disqualify
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations and titers required:

    • TDAP (within last 10 years, no declinations accepted)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines required, no declinations accepted)
    • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days required
  • Flu vaccine required year-round; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
  • COVID-19 vaccine not required but accepted if available

Facility Specific Requirements

• Must review and sign job description and various facility agreements prior to start (e.g., confidentiality, patient identification, code of conduct)
• Photo for badge required (professional passport-style photo with solid background, no large earrings, face piercings, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless for religious reasons)
• Completion of facility orientation modules prior to start
• Parking registration required if driving to work

Additional Notes

• All callouts for scheduled shifts require makeup shifts as deemed necessary by the department
• Candidate must comply with facility policies and complete all required documentation before starting assignment

This position is suitable for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of experience who are certified and comfortable working night shifts on a travel contract basis. Prior travel experience is not required.
