Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Pinehurst, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Monday and Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Requirements

• Must not reside in Moore County
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology
• Experience with Siemens Definition AS 64 slice and GE Lightspeed VCT 64 slice CT scanners required
• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program with additional training in CT
• ARRT (R) (CT) certification required
• BLS certification required

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC certifications may be required or preferred depending on unit/specialty
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Color Blind Testing required for all candidates
• Competency exams as applicable to specialty
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for certain units

Compliance & Documentation

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
• Background check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start (to meet standard, not facility-mandated)
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
• 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (11/15 - 03/31)

• Two clinical references required (one must be from a supervisor or higher)
• Complete employment application/resume
• Annual skills checklist
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (up to 21 hours) prior to start

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Must have ARRT (R) (CT) certification and experience with specified CT scanners
• Candidate must be prepared for evening and weekend shifts as outlined
