Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Mount Holly, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Float pool position requiring work across 5 hospitals within skillset (including ICU and PCU units)
• Float between ICU and PCU units
• Block scheduling NOT allowed
• Return to Office (RTO) required at time of submission
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Expected patient ratios: PCU 1:5+
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH) required
• EPIC experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Strong PCU experience required
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
• Must pass Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing contract (2 attempts allowed; must be taken on PC, not iOS devices)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP) but not mandatory for this role

Testing & Competencies

• Dysrhythmia competency test required for this role; failure to pass within 2 attempts results in contract cancellation
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Color Blind Testing within 1 year of start
• Other competency exams as applicable to specialty

Health & Background Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Proof of E-Verify required
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (must be completed before first shift)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (with specific requirements for positive responders)
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months of start, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by October 31
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better)
• Latex questionnaire required

Documentation & Compliance

• I9 or attestation
• Driver’s license/state ID
• Background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG
• State nursing license verification (NURSYS verification required)
• Professional references (2 required, within last 2 years)
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates (minimum 1 year prior to start date verified)

• Candidates must complete all required documentation and certifications by specified deadlines to avoid contract cancellation or start delays
• Dysrhythmia test must be taken on a PC, not on iOS devices
• Local rate adjustments apply for candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital (not included here)
