Travel RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel

Position Details

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Department: Telemetry
Number of Beds: 24
Patient Ratios: 4:1
Patient Population: Generalized cardiac patients, ages young adult to elderly adult
Equipment: Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo
EHR System: Cerner (preferred skill)
Float Requirements: May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Requirements

Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiac specialty (highest required)
Skills:
- Must have experience with Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo
- Preferred experience with Cerner EHR
Personality Fit: Family-oriented unit

Chest Pain
Atrial Fibrillation (A-fib)
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Pre & Post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial)
Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)

Education

Minimum Associates Degree

Dress Code

Any color scrubs allowed
