Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 18 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: Friday through Monday
• Patient Population: Neonates to Geriatrics
• Work Settings: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Equipment: Siemens and Philips CT Scanners, Epic Medical Records, Fuji PACs
• Caseload: 4 rooms, average 12-24 scans per day
• Facility Level: Level 3 Trauma Hospital with 237 beds and 59 ED treatment areas
• Call Requirements: 8 days total with at least 2 weeks' notice
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Floating: Within facility if needed
• Holidays: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (see below)
• RTO (Return to Office): Maximum 7 days

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Specialty Experience: 3 years (1st time travelers accepted)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• ARRT (R)(CT) - CT certification

General Skills and Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans on inpatient, emergency room, and outpatient patients following facility protocols
• Start IVs and obtain patient consent
• Provide excellent patient care
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment with technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters

Compliance and Orientation

• Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 19 hours for 19-week assignment)

• Christmas Eve and Day (Dec 24 & 25)

Required Documentation and Health Compliance

• Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start
• Education Verification: Verification of related degree required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
• State License: Must be licensed by the State of Georgia
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
• TB Testing: Negative PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months; TB questionnaire required annually
• Vaccinations:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
  • Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• Additional Certifications (if applicable): ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification (refer to specialty requirements)
• Competency Exams: Medication test, color blind test, and other competency exams as required

• Clinical screening required to determine fit before final manager approval
