Description

Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
  • Experience:
    • Level 1 trauma experience preferred
    • Required years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum RN Emergency Room experience
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not specified as required

Required Credentials and Compliance

  • Current RN license verification dated within 30 days of start
  • Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature
  • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
  • Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
  • COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster by Sept 2025), or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • MMR vaccination proof or IgG titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start (titers not accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine proof or exemption for 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA with chest x-ray if positive (within 1 year for CT)
  • Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer
  • Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
  • 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)

Professional and Background Requirements

  • Signed Trinity Health Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreements
  • Criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
  • Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma
  • EPLS, OIG, NSO, OFAC screenings dated within 30 days of start
  • Trinity Profile submission including resume, skills checklist, and professional references
  • Trinity system access form completed one week before start
  • Trinity Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form signed

Additional Notes

  • All certifications and verifications must be uploaded to the system prior to onboarding
  • Documentation must include front and back images of certification cards where applicable
  • Agency will provide clinical skills checklist
  • Declinations for certain vaccines accepted only if no pediatric interaction is required

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs with required certifications and compliance readiness for a 13-week assignment in Connecticut.
