Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Requirements

Licensure & Experience

• Valid Massachusetts RN license (Perm MA license in hand required)
• Minimum 1.5 years of Registered Nurse experience (higher years of experience not indicated)
• EPIC experience preferred

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
• Other certifications may be relevant depending on specialty area (e.g., TNCC preferred for ER)

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department surge environment
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams required
• Pass/fail testing for medication and telemetry exams (if applicable) with minimum 80% score on first day of orientation

Background & Health Documentation

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest completed education
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
• Drug testing within 30 days of start
• Required immunizations or valid declinations for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Flu seasonal vaccination or declination (required during flu season)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
• TB testing: Two PPDs or equivalent testing within required timeframes; chest x-ray and TB questionnaire if positive
• Massachusetts Statewide iCORI clearance required within 30 days prior to start
