Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Oak Park, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Second shift, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, with every other Saturday night rotation and holiday coverage required
Start Date: ASAP

Requirements

• Certification:

  • Illinois CT Certification by ARRT required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA only)
• Experience:

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated, assume minimum 2 years typical for specialty unless otherwise specified
• Licensure:

  • Radiology: AART and IEMA required
  • State License primary source verification required within 30 days of start
• Background Checks:

  • Must have a background check within 30 days prior to start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SSN trace, national criminal database, global terrorist search, sex offender, alias search, and FACIS Level 3
• Drug Testing:

  • 9-panel drug test within 24-48 hours of offer acceptance, valid within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
• Health & Immunizations:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming fitness to work without restrictions
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol
  • Required vaccinations or immunity documentation:

    • Rubeola (Measles) - 2 MMR vaccines or positive IgG titer
    • Mumps - 2 MMR vaccines or positive IgG titer
    • Rubella - 2 MMR vaccines or positive IgG titer
    • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive IgG titer
    • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer (vaccine series or declination form if negative)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (valid within 10 years)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required for 2025-2026 season
  • COVID-19 vaccine is not mandated but documentation is encouraged
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam required for RNs/LPNs with minimum passing score of 80%
  • Area-specific competency exams with at least 80% pass rate
• Mandatory Training:

  • Illinois Mandatory Reporting Training required for all clinical patient-facing/in-person positions, valid for 3 years
• Fingerprinting:

  • Patient-facing candidates without Illinois state license must be fingerprinted and added to Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Registry (cannot be done out of state)
• References & Employment History:

  • Two professional references within 3 years of hire (Aya Direct only)
  • Employment application must include 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
