Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel Position)

Location: Lander, Wyoming


Job Description

  • Perform diagnostic CT exams under general supervision following established policies and procedures.
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness.
  • Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history and assess risk factors (medications, pregnancy, psychological indicators).
  • Explain procedures, including side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions.
  • Set up imaging equipment and acquire images as per physician’s script.
  • Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions, and communicate findings to radiologist.
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate.
  • Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
  • Participate in process improvement activities related to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
  • Able to take call/standby as required by the department.
  • May perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.

Requirements

  • Certifications:
    • ARRT certification in CT Tech & Radiology (required)
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association) (required)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years recent experience in CT and Radiology (must be able to work independently)
  • Equipment Familiarity:
    • Experience with GE CT and X-ray machines
  • Other:
    • Able to take call/standby as required
