Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics (Days)

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Must be comfortable floating within the same discipline across local campuses (general medical-surgical float required).
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3 in Pediatrics.
• Work schedule includes 36-40 hours/week with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience required.
  • Must have completed at least 1 prior travel nursing contract (prior travel experience required).
  • Work history must show 24 months of current Pediatric experience.
• Skills:

  • Pediatric Vapotherm experience required.
  • Skills checklist specific to Pediatrics discipline required.
• Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active Iowa RN license at time of submission.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or ARC required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Other:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Local candidates are NOT eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
