Travel RN Opportunity - Labor & Delivery

Location: Clarksville, Tennessee
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Job Details

Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
Patient Ratio: 2:1
EMR System: Cerner
Scrubs Color: Navy
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications:
- Tennessee RN License
- BLS (ARC or AHA only)
- ACLS
- NRP (Preferred; must obtain within 6 months)
- Fetal Monitoring (Preferred; must obtain within 6 months)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty (Labor & Delivery)
Additional:
- Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
- Floating to Nursery & Postpartum units as needed

Job Description

The RN is responsible for providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care. This includes:

Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
Demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe delivery of care
Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education
Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care
