Travel RN Opportunity – Operating Room (OR) Nurse

Job Description

• Circulator RN needed for a busy ENT, Pediatrics, and Plastics surgical team in an Academic Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Scrubbing RN preferred but not mandatory.
• Cases include neck dissections, free flap repair, DIEP flaps, pediatric general and thoracic surgery, airway management, oral maxillofacial surgery (OMFS), dental procedures.
• Procedures involve laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, facial plastics and trauma, cochlear implants, complex head and neck cancer surgery, tonsillectomy, and tympanoplasty.
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric.
• Must be comfortable precepting others.
• Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, patient orientation, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in the OR setting (highest required experience).
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Preferred but not mandatory
  • AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) certification – Preferred
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with occasional weekends and call.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (option for 48 hours available).
• EMR System: EPIC.
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Additional Notes

• No float requirements.
• Must be able to function effectively in a high-acuity, trauma Level 1 environment.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
