Description

Travel RN Opportunity - Inpatient Rehab

Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Specialty: Rehabilitation Nursing (RN)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) nursing (whichever is higher)
At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience required
Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC experience
Experience in acute inpatient rehab or acute rehab hospital settings
Must have BLS certification
Skilled nursing experience alone is not accepted unless accompanied by 2 years of IRF or Med Surg experience

Work Details

Shift: 12-hour shifts
Weekend hours: Every other weekend required
No call requirements
Patient ratio: 1:7
Unit size: 49 beds
Dress code: Scrubs and sneakers (any scrub color acceptable)

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

Stroke (CVA), brain injury, spinal cord injury
Parkinson’s disease, post craniotomy
Complex orthopedic injuries including joint replacement
Hypertension, blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols
Feeding tube care, swallowing precautions, thickened liquids
Foley catheter care, care of ports, PICC lines, starting IVs
Supplemental oxygen delivery, isolation precautions
Ulcer and wound care

Preferred Experience

Trauma II experience preferred

Additional Notes

Orientation dates available throughout the year
Local candidates will not be accepted for this travel position
