Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

• Position: CT Technologist
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1100-2330)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be accepted at a different rate
• First-time travelers accepted

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• ARRT CT certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS may be required (review facility specifics)
• State license verification required prior to start
• Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty required
• Prior travel experience NOT required (first-time travelers accepted)

Background & Compliance

• Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required prior to start and monthly thereafter
• Education verification for highest degree required by position
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
• Physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year, updated annually)
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) documentation or titers
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Varicella documentation or titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season

Competencies & Testing

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must score 80% or higher) within 3 years of start
• Color blindness testing (online or in-person) required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain specialties (not specifically for CT Tech)

Documentation & Onboarding

• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
• Facility-specific modules (SITELS) must be completed before hire date
• Photo for badge with specific requirements (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)

Additional Notes

• Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
• Some certifications and requirements may vary based on unit assignment
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements

This position offers an opportunity for CT Technologists with ARRT certification and at least 2 years of experience to work a 13-week travel contract in Maryland. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
