Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)
Location: Voorhees, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must submit Return to Office (RTO) at time of submission; late RTO submissions will not be accepted.
- Block scheduling is NOT allowed.
- Required to pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract. Only 2 attempts allowed; must be taken on a PC (not iOS devices). Failure to pass or complete on time results in contract cancellation and denial of rehire.
- Float based on needs within 5 hospitals (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL).
- Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH).
- No on-call required.
- Patient ratio: 1:6.
- Patient mix varies; RN and Monitor tech monitors telemetry on the unit.
- Navy blue scrubs required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Pulmonary experience required.
- Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
Certifications & Compliance
- Must have current ACLS and BLS certifications (cannot start if expiring within 30 days of contract start).
- Dysrhythmia competency test required for this role.
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP) but not specified for this position.
- Must complete Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement.
- Must have valid State RN license with primary source verification.
- NURSYS verification required.
- NIH Stroke Certification required for RNs in MS/Tele units.
- Required to complete medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
- Color Blind Testing online within 1 year of start.
- Pass/fail testing for EKG/Medication as applicable.
Health & Background Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Required background screenings: EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG.
- Physical exam within last 12 months.
- Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (must be done before first shift).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required.
- Required immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
- 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months of start; updated annually.
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required by October 31 (exemptions considered case-by-case).
- Eye exam with visual acuity 20/40 or better.
- Latex questionnaire required.
Documentation & Verification
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID.
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually).
- Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates (minimum 1 year prior to start date).
- Two professional references within last 2 years required.
- Facility-specific documents including badge photo and possibly personal/auto insurance if assigned to home health.
Additional Notes
- Local rate adjustment for candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital.
- Floating required within a group of hospitals based on skillset.
- No block scheduling or call shifts.
- Dysrhythmia test must be taken on a PC, not on iOS devices.
