CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Perform diagnostic CT scans, producing quality images using professional judgment.
• Provide patient care and initiate life support measures as necessary.
• Interact effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and healthcare staff.
• Operate CT equipment and perform related procedures and protocols.
• Ability to learn and utilize new technology.
• Obtain patient information to improve personalized treatment and care.
• Work with all age groups.
• May include on-call rotation, nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.
• Work in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Stroke Center environment.
• Imaging hospital and clinic patients with required post-processing of images.
• Assigned shifts include weekends with call responsibilities.

Equipment & Systems

• CT Equipment: Toshiba Aquilion One, Siemens Definition Edge, Vital Fx Workstation, Tera Recon, SyngoVia
• EMR: EPIC/Radiant
• PACS: McKesson

Required Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of CT scanners, cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Experience with 3D post-processing for orthopedic, vascular, cardiac, and neuro imaging.
• Familiarity with various post-processing techniques.
• Experience is preferred (no explicit minimum years stated, but "experience preferred").

Licensure & Certifications

• Current CPR certification required.
• Licensed in North Dakota by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• ARRT Board Certified in CT required.
• BLS Certification required.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Monday-Friday with varying day and evening shifts as assigned.
• 12-hour weekend shifts as assigned.
• Weekend call as needed.
• Occasional call coverage as assigned.

Additional Information

• Two-week orientation process with variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and on-call as needed.
• Typically works four 10-hour shifts.
• No floating to other units or departments.
• Facility is a 200-bed Level II Trauma Center and Stroke Center.
• Local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles are not accepted.
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Scrubs color: Gray.
