Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: 3 shifts per week (Friday-Sunday), 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• ARRT-R certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Experience required in ED, ICU, Acute Care, and Outpatient settings
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT-R (Radiologic Technologist - Registered)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification as applicable based on unit assignment
• State License verification required prior to start
• Tech Certification verification as required by profession/state

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
• Experience in emergency and critical care environments (ED, ICU, Acute, Outpatient)

Prior Travel Experience

• Not required; first-time travelers are accepted

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 90 days of start, including multi-state searches
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start and monthly thereafter
• Education verification for highest degree required by position
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
• Physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must score 80% or higher) within 3 years of start
• Color blindness testing (online or in-person)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam for applicable units (RN only) with specific scoring requirements and remediation process
• Annual safety manual acknowledgment and orientation completion

Documentation & Onboarding

• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Facility-specific modules (SITELS) must be completed prior to start date
• Clear photo for badge required
• Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function

Additional Notes

• Locals within 60 miles may be considered at different rates (not applicable here)
• Candidate must comply with all facility-specific onboarding and compliance requirements
