Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Holidays: Rotating holidays required
- Work Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient, Emergency Room, Teaching Hospital
- Floating: Must be willing to float to different units within the organization as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- Specialty Experience: Radiology / Cardiology (Years of experience not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ year typical for CT Tech roles)
- X-Ray Procedure Experience: Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax
- Equipment Experience: Siemens scanners
- General Skills: IV Start, Contrast administration

- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS: AHA Instructor/Provider or RQI acceptable; letter of completion not accepted
- Additional Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit (check unit-specific requirements)
- Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exams required, including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency for applicable roles
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required annually
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation verification required (accredited programs only)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, benzodiazepines, THC, cocaine, opiates, etc.)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer (medical exemption possible)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- COVID vaccination not required but strongly recommended
Documentation & Other Requirements
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager or formal leadership)
- Employment application required (including education for nursing candidates)
- Skills checklist required
- Dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgment required
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and annually thereafter
- Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism form required
