Unit Information

• Unit: Geriatric Psychiatric
• Setting: Adult inpatient area
• Number of Beds: 9
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 2 RNs, 2 Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Sitters as assigned
  • Night Shift: 1 RN, 2 BHTs, Sitters as assigned
• Patient Ratios: 5-9 patients per nurse
• Typical Equipment: Vital signs machine, Hoyer lift, glucometer, IVs, bladder scanner, bed alarms, chair alarms, crash cart
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years in specialty (Behavioral Health)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified as required
