Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Hazleton, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 20 weeks
Job Description
- Work multiple shifts including:
- 11 AM to 11 PM
- 11 AM to 7 PM
- 7 PM to 7 AM
- 3 PM to 11 PM
- Weekend rotations
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years (default for specialty unless otherwise specified)

Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all clinical staff including techs; must be AHA certified (ARC may be acceptable case-by-case)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for certain units; verify based on unit assignment
- Tech Certification Verification: National certification/verification prior to facility start and upon expiration, as applicable
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification) may be required depending on unit assignment
Background Checks & Compliance
- Comprehensive background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
- HHS/OIG check upon hire
- Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting results required within 90 days of start (full results, all pages)
- Education verification for highest level of education relative to specialty
- State-specific searches including Pennsylvania Medicheck, PATCH, and Child Abuse Search within required timeframes
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel or 9-panel (without THC) within 60 days of start; dilute results require observed drug screen
- References: Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within last 12 months
- Employment application with 7 years of complete work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 2 months of start
- Fit mask test completed onsite (not required for 100% remote non-clinical)
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray as per guidelines
- Required immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (declinations not accepted)
- Varicella
- Drug testing as noted above
- COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required for new candidates starting October through May; declination allowed only under specific conditions with masking policy adherence
- Respirator safety clearance required annually for candidates starting 04/07/2025 and beyond
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for RNs)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (for RNs & LVNs except certain specialties)
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) for RNs & LVNs except certain specialties
- Competency exams require passing scores and allow limited attempts with remediation
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge (new candidates starting 3/31/2025 and later)
- Badge request form (time sensitive for new candidates starting before 3/30)
- Affidavit for provisional employment prior to start
- COVID and flu declination forms if applicable
- Fit test questionnaire required for all candidates prior to start
Notes
- All documentation must be uploaded and maintained with appropriate expiration dates
- Some requirements differ for non-clinical or 100% remote candidates (not applicable here)
