Job Opportunity: Temp Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab (Days)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab / Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL)
• Employment Type: Temporary
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Work Hours: 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours
• Shift: Days
• Floating: Required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units within close proximity

Experience & Skills Requirements

• Cardiac Cath/CCL Experience: Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience (required)
• Travel Experience: Travel experience highly preferred
• Preferred Skills:

  • Structural heart experience (highly preferred)
  • Electrophysiology (EP) experience (preferred)
  • Scrubber experience (preferred)
• Required Skills:

  • Strong and experienced circulator
  • Ability to precept as needed

Licenses & Certifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license (required)
• AHA/ARC Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Valid Driver’s License (required)

Additional Information

• Must provide a skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab discipline
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred
• Orientation dates available (not included here)
• EMR system used: EPIC
• Overtime, holiday, call back, and on-call pay multipliers apply
• Must be willing to float across campuses within a 50-mile radius

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs with strong circulator skills and a preference for those with travel experience and specialized cardiac skills.
