Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Oxford, North Carolina

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Saturday - Monday, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for all RNs prior to start; must be current throughout assignment
• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all candidates
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for ER, ICU, OR (if applicable)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Required for Labor & Delivery (if applicable)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required for all Labor & Delivery staff; must be updated every 2 years
• State License: Primary source verification required
• NURSYS Verification: Required for all RNs
• Other certifications may be required or preferred depending on specific role (e.g., STABLE for L&D, tech certifications for surgical techs)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Education verification required (diploma acceptable if education cannot be verified)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Physical exam: Initial and updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 4 weeks of start
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer, vaccines, or declination)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, vaccines, or declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season

Documentation and Training

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• Residency declaration form if working on a compact license
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules via Relias Learning Management System
• Job description acknowledgment required
• Signed HIPAA acknowledgment or completion of core testing
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable, updated annually

Additional Notes

• Facility-specific religious and medical exemption forms available for flu vaccine
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the facility for over 1 year
• Internal evaluations required if employed over 2 years
