Job Opportunity: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Location: Mount Clemens, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures.
• Set up, monitor, and operate complex CT equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Transfer and position patients safely using proper lifting techniques and immobilization devices as needed.
• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as per radiologist protocols.
• Create and develop diagnostic images, maintain image quality, and perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and assist with emergency medical situations, including basic CPR.
• Maintain safety standards in accordance with Michigan Department of Public Health regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of supplies in the department.
• Assist radiologists and other physicians with specialized radiological procedures.
• Review and record patient history and clinical data to aid diagnosis.
• Maintain registry compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of CT experience (required).
• Equipment Experience: Phillips CT equipment experience (required).
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required.
• Certifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Licensing:

  • Michigan license verification required for nurses (not applicable here but noted).
• Other:

  • References are not required.
  • Skills checklist within one year preferred for non-nursing professions.
  • Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.

Work Environment & Additional Info

• Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs

• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a busy Emergency Center.

This position is ideal for CT technologists with solid experience on Phillips equipment looking for a temporary assignment in Michigan. Prior travel experience is a plus but not mandatory.
