Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Outpatient
Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 9 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for an outpatient rehabilitation setting. The role involves working Monday through Friday with no weekend or on-call requirements.
Requirements
Licensure & Certification
- Florida Licensure in Speech Language Pathology (must be valid for the entire assignment)
- Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA), valid for at least 6 months beyond assignment start date
Experience
- Experience with adult neurological patients (required)
- Experience in outpatient adult or adult inpatient rehab settings (required)
- Spanish speaking highly preferred due to patient population
Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to work independently
Work Schedule
- Full day schedule, Monday to Friday
- No weekends or on-call duties
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check including specific Florida counties (Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach)
- SSN trace, statewide, national criminal, sex offender, and education verification
- AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance required prior to start
Health & Immunization
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within past 12 months
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions considered
- Lab-based 10-panel urine drug test within 45 days of start
Facility Specific
- Recent photo for badge (plain white background, color, head to mid-chest, no group photos)
- Completion of annual required education and compliance documents
Additional Notes
- Candidates living within Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe counties are not eligible
- License and certifications must be current and valid for the entire contract duration
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
