Job Opportunity: Rad Tech - Radiology

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

  • Department: Imaging Diagnostic (DX)
  • Location: 2nd floor, F tower
  • Number of Beds: 800
  • Staffing:
    • Day Shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
    • Evening Shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
    • Night Shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
  • Equipment: GE Radiology rooms, Portable GE and Shiatzu, C-arms OEC, O-arms Medtronics
  • EMR System: Cerner Rad Net

Required Skills & Experience

  • Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology (Rad Tech)
  • Years of Experience Required: 2 years
  • Certifications Required:
    • ARRT (R) Certification
    • BLS Certification
  • Must-Have Skills:
    • Proficiency in all areas of diagnostic radiology including portable and OR imaging
    • Experience with ED trauma imaging
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Fluoroscopic procedures
  • Typical Procedures:
    • Diagnostic imaging, portable imaging, trauma imaging, fluoroscopic procedures, surgical imaging

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Dress code: Black scrubs

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Prior Travel Experience

  • Not explicitly required for this position

This role is ideal for a skilled Rad Tech with at least 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology, comfortable working in a fast-paced trauma and surgical environment, and who holds ARRT and BLS certifications.
