Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekends: Every other weekend (EOW) as needed
• Holidays: As needed
• Floating: Will float to all Medical-Surgical floors and potentially rehab
• Patient Population: May care for COVID patients
• Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Experience & Certifications

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Additional Requirements:

  • EPIC experience required

Screening & Interview Process

• Candidates will undergo a clinical pre-screen to determine fit.
• If clinical pass and within guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision and interview.
• Interviews are conducted by the manager.
• Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks & Clearances

• 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start (must be finalized prior to start)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer
  • Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer
  • Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B – positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
  • Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer
• Seasonal flu vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
• Respiratory Safety Clearance required within 1 year and renewed annually

Professional Documentation

• State license primary source verification required
• NURSYS verification required for RN license
• Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts required
• 2 professional references within 3 years required
• Most recent resume or employment application required
• Annual skills checklist required
• Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment

Competency Exams & Training

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
• Completion of required Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start
• New hire orientation required by end of first day
