Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Fruitland, Idaho

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday
• Weekend Work: Potential weekend shifts required
• Holiday Work: Required
• Call/Standby: Backup call on rotation with core staff; 30-minute response time expected
• Orientation: At least 2 shifts, including day and night shifts (night shift 8 PM to 8 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Department & Work Environment

• Imaging department with:

  • 3 X-ray scanners (2 X-ray rooms and 1 portable)
  • 1 CT scanner
• Typically only 2 staff on at a time during overnight shifts
• Work involves both CT and X-ray patients, including urgent care and ER cases
• Common imaging studies: Code Strokes, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, 3D reconstruction, some pediatric cases
• No cardiac CT procedures or CT fluoroscopy on nights
• Staff collaborate to perform CT scans together when possible
• Use of Siemens equipment for CT and X-ray; Carestream for portable imaging
• PACS system: McKesson
• EMR system: Epic
• Remote radiologist support; PA onsite part-time
• Transport assistance required to get patients into CT suite

Required Qualifications

• License/Certification:

  • BLS (AHA or ARC)
  • Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
  • ARRT certification for both CT and X-ray required
• Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience preferred (the more, the better)
  • Experience with Epic EMR and IV starts required
  • Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
  • No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required)
• Skills:

  • Ability to manage both CT and X-ray duties during the same shift
  • Comfortable using Volt phone for provider communication
  • Must be able to start IVs

Additional Information

• Dress code: Standard OR blue scrubs provided
• No requirement to float outside the imaging department
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
• Lead techs identified; travelers not expected to lead or supervise

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care/ER imaging environment with a mix of CT and X-ray responsibilities.
