Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Position involves working night shifts independently with no other support.
• Role requires floating between CT and X-Ray based on unit needs.
• Average scans per day: 45.
• Patient types: Inpatient and Emergency Department (no outpatient cases during night shift).
• Facility is a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center.
• COVID vaccine required.
• Adequate PPE provided including N95 masks and PAPR availability.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in acute care setting.
• First-time travelers are eligible if they have 3+ years of acute care experience.
• Must have skills in both CT and X-Ray.

Required Skills

CT Skills

• IV skills (preferred)
• Power injection
• Experience with GE or Toshiba CT scanners
• Experience with CTA, trauma, and stroke imaging

X-Ray Skills

• General X-Ray proficiency
• Experience with Fuji or Cannon portable X-Ray machines
• Fluoroscopy experience

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT certification
• Wisconsin state license

Equipment & Systems

• EPIC electronic health record system (required)
• McKesson PACS
• GE and Toshiba CT scanners
• Fuji and Cannon portable X-Ray machines

Orientation

• 4 days total

  • Day 1: Meet with supervisor
  • Days 2-4: Training with X-Ray and CT technologists

• Scrub color: Any color except camo, denim, or hoodies
