Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Description

• Position in an Emergency Room (ER) setting
• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound scans
• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, night shift
• Start date: First or second week of April (not sooner)

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Ultrasound Tech)

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as applicable
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - as applicable
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification - as applicable
• Tech Certification Verification - National, required within 30 days of start
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) - required for RNs (may not apply to Ultrasound Tech)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - as applicable

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Facility-specific documents including Standards of Conduct, Dress Code Policy, Standards of Behavior, COVID Declination (if applicable), HIPAA and Fair Warning Quiz, Orientation and Safety Training, Annual TB Questionnaire
• Employment application and 2 references within 3 years required
• Skills checklist updated annually

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (N-95 or equivalent required; PAPR not accepted)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (chest X-ray within 2 years if positive TB responders)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; plan for completion within 72 hours of signing contract
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct-April); mask required if declination submitted
