Job Opportunity: RN - Tele (Travel)

Location: Conroe, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: 2 West Neuroscience Unit
• Floor: 2nd Floor
• Beds: 24
• Staff: 28 total

  • Day Shift: 1 charge, 4 RN, 3 NT
  • Night Shift: 1 charge, 4 RN, 3 NT
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6
• Equipment: Baxter IV Pumps, PCA Pumps, SCD Pumps, Hill-Rom beds, 5-leads EKG, Posey Alarms
• EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills

• Assessment
• Medication administration
• Foley catheter and Purewick care
• IV push
• Blood administration and blood thinner administration
• EKG
• Central line care
• Pain management

Preferred Skills

• Patient experience champion
• Wound care and dressing changes

Typical Procedures

• Blood draws
• Post heart catheterization recovery
• Post surgical brain/spine care

Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH Certification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in the specialty

• Floating Areas: Med/Surg, Cardiovascular Technology (CVT)
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
• Schedule: Requires working every other weekend
