Description

Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Provide care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.
Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Must be willing to float between units as needed.

Facility Information

38-bed facility
Trauma Level III Certified
Stroke Receiving Center
STEMI Receiving Center
EMR system: Cerner (experience required)
Dress code: Black scrub colors
NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required

Schedule

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3 shifts of 12 hours)

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in Emergency Department
Preferred: Charge Nurse experience (additional compensation offered)

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
