Job Opportunity: CT Tech - Radiology

Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Acute-care hospital with 345 beds
  • Only cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, and pediatric intensive care units in the area

Unit Information

  • Unit: Radiology, CT Department
  • Number of Beds: 400
  • Patient Volume: Approximately 180 CT exams per day
  • Equipment: GE 512, GE 128, GE 32 slice CT scanners
  • Staffing: 2 techs per scanner during the day; 3 techs overnight
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Patient Focus: Emergency Department (ED) and Inpatient (IP) only
  • Care Model: Compassionate care

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine CT exams for ED and IP patients, including trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and CT angiography (CTA)
  • Operate GE CT equipment independently
  • Provide advanced skills in routine CT exams for all types of ED and IP patients

Required Qualifications

  • Specialty: CT Tech (Radiology)
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in specialty (defaulted to higher requirement)
  • Experience: At least 1 year in a Level 1 trauma setting
  • Certifications: ARRT Radiography required; CT certification preferred
  • Licenses: Valid Radiology Tech License
  • BLS certification required

  • Dress Code: Charcoal grey uniform
  • Facility is ACR accredited in MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography
