Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Location

• Near Chicago, IL (Oak Lawn area)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Patient Population

• Adults and pediatrics (pediatrics preferred, usually trauma cases)
• Level 1 Trauma patients

Patient Types / Procedures

• Stroke imaging
• CTA (Computed Tomography Angiography)
• Biopsies (needle, bone marrow)
• Drains
• Calcium scoring
• Cardiac, abdomen, pelvis, head, chest, extremities, general anatomy imaging

Patient Ratios

• 1:1

Required Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Illinois state license (IEMA)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of CT imaging experience (no acceptance of 1 year experience or first-time travelers)
• Experience with Level 1 trauma patients
• Experience with EPIC charting system

Preferred Skills

• IV starts

Equipment Used

• GE and Phillips CT scanners

Support on Unit

• Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
• Hospitalist available 24/7
• Code Blue/Rapid Response Team available

Orientation

• 1 week of day-shift orientation to learn workflow

Scheduling

• Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
• Night shift hours: 7pm - 7am
• Schedule released every 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage required based on needs
• Time off approval through manager

Floating

• Floating possible mid-shift within inpatient imaging center

Dress Code

• Scrub color: Caribbean blue (no logos, camo, or denim)

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience is required (no first-time travelers accepted)
