Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (IR RT / RCIS Scrub Tech)

Job Description

• Position requires experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) and Cath Lab.
• Must have coiling and embolic experience.
• Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours each, with rotating days off.
• On-call duties are required.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• License: Must hold a valid license as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or relevant certification for Cath Lab Tech.
• Experience: IR and Cath Lab experience required (years of experience not explicitly stated, but must be proficient in specialty skills).
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required at start.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required at start.
  • NIH Stroke Certification required for IR and Cath Lab.
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Dysrhythmia and Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exams) required for Cath Lab Techs.
• Background Checks: Must pass a 7-year background check including county criminal, sex offender, and state police investigations.
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start.
  • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months.
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tdap.
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
  • Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start.
• Other:

  • Valid government-issued photo ID or passport.
  • Photo for badge (passport style).
  • Completion of facility-specific forms and job description acknowledgment prior to start.
  • Two professional references within 3 years required.
