Description

Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Position Details

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty: General Imaging (CT)
Patient Types: Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Average Scans per Day: Approximately 15

Facility Environment

Level 1 Trauma Center
Level III Perinatal Center
Teaching Hospital with Magnet Designation
Comprehensive Stroke Center
Fast-paced environment with trauma and stroke cases
Radiologist resident onsite
Support staff includes receptionist (dayshift), hospitalist/physician available after hours, transport aid, and tech aide

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 3 years in specialty
Certifications: BLS, ARRT
Skills: IV skills, Power Injection
Equipment Experience: GE mandatory
Comfortable working in trauma, stroke, and fast-paced settings

Orientation & Scheduling

Orientation: 1 day on the unit
Weekend rotation: every other weekend
Up to 7 days off can be approved
No on-call required

Technology & Systems

Charting and equipment systems: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis
Scan processing handled by third party

Additional Information

Scrub color: Gray
Parking available (fee applies) or accessible via public transportation (CTA Brown line)
