Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Rocky Mount, Virginia

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Skilled Tech - CT Tech / X-Ray Tech
• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7 PM - 7 AM), Friday through Sunday
• No on-call requirement
• Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational with staff)
• Floating within skillset may be required
• Siemens experience required; Epic experience preferred
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates not accepted (radius restrictions apply)

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• X-Ray Technician experience
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Clinical experience in Acute Care and Outpatient settings
• CT imaging experience with:

  • Chest (with/without contrast)
  • Head and Neck
  • Spine and Musculoskeletal
• Preparation and administration of contrast media
• Ability to start Peripheral IVs

Experience Requirements

• Specialty Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Prior travel experience: Required (completion of at least one travel assignment)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check covering 7 years of history required within 1 year of start
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming freedom from communicable diseases
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Fit test for mask within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug screening (10-panel) within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Two clinical references required
• Complete employment application/resume required
• Skills checklist updated annually

Additional Notes

• Candidate must provide a professional photo for badge
• Various facility-specific compliance and orientation documents must be completed prior to start
• Driver’s license or state ID with an address more than 100 miles from the facility will result in cancellation
• Holiday work requirement is one holiday per contract, rotating with staff

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with prior travel contract experience who meet Virginia licensure requirements and have Siemens imaging experience.
