Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Mooresville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Schedule

  • Monday night: 7 PM – 7 AM
  • Thursday and Friday: 10 AM – 10 PM
  • Total: 36 hours per week

Job Description

  • Specialty: CT Tech
  • Caseload includes Cardiac, Oncology, Trauma, Pain Management, and Interventional cases
  • Required experience with GE equipment and PACS (hard stop)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Experience with GE Healthcare equipment

Certifications

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only (refer to unit requirements)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - AHA/AAP only (refer to unit requirements)
  • Chemotherapy certification (refer to unit requirements)
  • Pass/Fail Testing on basic tech knowledge at orientation (minimum 80% to pass)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 90 days of start, including SSN trace, county, alias, nationwide, sex offender, international (if applicable), and education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 90 days of start
  • OFAC Sanctions List Search within 30 days of start
  • Employment application and 7 years of work history required
  • Two professional references from employment within 12 months of start, at least one must be a supervisor
  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • Competency exam required (unit specific)

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start (latex allergy acceptable)
  • Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with specific requirements if history of positive PPD)
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Required vaccinations or immunity documentation:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
    • Varicella
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
    • Polio vaccine or attestation
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required for new candidates starting October through March (no exemptions)

Additional Requirements

  • Must set up a guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
  • Orientation includes biweekly schedule and training modules that must be completed prior to or during orientation
  • Competency checklists must be completed within 3 weeks after start date
  • No flu exemptions accepted

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with strong experience on GE equipment and PACS, who are comfortable working varied shifts including nights and weekends, and who meet all certification and compliance requirements.
