Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Olney, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 4 shifts of 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30)
  • Wednesday: 1 shift of 10 hours (07:00 - 17:00)
  • Total 42 hours per week
• No on-call or weekend shifts required
• Every other holiday required
• Primary responsibilities include scrubbing for Interventional Radiology (IR), vascular, and pain procedures
• Proficiency required in operating Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm
• Unit handles CT and X-ray cases, but floating to these areas is not required

Procedural Types:

• Interventional: Tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, Hickman lines), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PEG tube placements, Pleurx catheter placements
• Pain Management: Epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablations
• Vascular: Angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, IVC filter placements

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
• Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist within the last year
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (R) certification (Radiologic Technologist)
