Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (facility may low census/cancel 36 hours per contract)
• Call Requirement: Call rotation averaging 10 days per month, including weekends
• Locals: Not accepted; candidate must live more than 70 miles from the facility
• Pending License: Accepted at manager's discretion
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology
• Experience required in outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU settings
• Proficient with PACS, C-Arm, contrast, and biopsies
• Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrogram, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, genitourinary, abdomen and pelvis, and upper/lower extremities
• Must be able to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters and micro wires, Snare Kits, and injector systems (preferably ACIST)
• Epic electronic health record experience required

Certifications & Licenses

• Required: BLS, ARRT
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required depending on unit
• State license verification required prior to start (Missouri or Compact License applicable)
• Background check and drug screening required within 12 months of start
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (fit testing done onsite)
• Immunizations and health documents required including:

  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 5 years
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (annual)
  • COVID vaccination preferred
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation as applicable

Additional Requirements

• Must submit Return to Office (RTO) requests with application; additional requests subject to manager approval
• Must complete facility-specific orientation modules and training prior to or during assignment
• Physical exam within 1 year of start required
• Two professional references required
• Skills checklist required

Work Environment

• No scrubs provided (scrub color specified)
• Onsite parking available at no cost
• Facility is a tertiary care academic medical center with 356 beds

• First-time travelers accepted
• Prior travel experience is not required
• Candidate will not float outside their scope of practice
• Call schedule includes weekends and averages 10 days per month

• Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Experience working with adult patients
• Experience in inpatient settings
• Experience in outpatient settings
• Proficient with PACS
• Proficient with C-Arm
• Experience with biopsies
• Experience with stents
• Experience with angioplasty
• Experience with angiograms
• Experience with paracentesis
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
