Description

Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in a 355-bed hospital with specialized centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and Level 3 NICU.
Unit includes a 17-18 bed Med Surg floor with adult and geriatric patient populations.
Patient ratios approximately 1:4.
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner (experience with Cerner is required).
Float requirements include all areas of the facility.
Common diagnoses treated: Pneumonia, COPD, CHF, CVA, Cancer.
No call requirements.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
BLS certification.
Experience with Cerner Electronic Health Record system.
