Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Infusion

Location: Northampton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide patient-centered care in an outpatient cancer infusion setting, including:

• Chemotherapy administration
• Patient education and care planning
• Symptom management
• Coordination of outpatient services

Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care addressing complex cancer patient needs. Practice according to professional nursing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory oncology experience
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Credentials and Compliance

• Professional nursing license verification (primary source) within 30 days of start date
• BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Background checks including criminal, CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender, and exclusion lists
• Health requirements including:

  • TB test within 3 months of start date (or negative blood test)
  • Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccination or immunity proof
  • Physician health statement within 1 year of start date
  • N95 respirator fit test and medical clearance (updated annually)
• Submission of resume with 7 years of work experience and 2 professional references (including at least 1 supervisor)
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission

Additional Information

• Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) must be obtained after hire if not already certified
• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing
• Must comply with all organizational policies and procedures

• Minimum 2 years oncology ambulatory experience (or 2 years if no BSN)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
