Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Friday-Sunday, 7 PM - 7 AM)
• On Call: No call required
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational)
• Floating: May be required to float to a nearby facility approximately half a mile away
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers not accepted; prior travel experience required
• Locals: Not accepted due to radius restrictions

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) certification
• ARRT(CT) (Computed Tomography) certification
• Knowledge and practice of radiation safety
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• I-9 or attestation
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must meet radius criteria)
• Background check covering 7 years of history (including education verification)
• E-Verify or attestation
• Various certifications and competency exams as applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
• Fit test within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or mask and declination form during flu season
• Two clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completed employment application/resume
• Annual skills checklist update
• Radiation badge supplied by the facility (not provided by agency for new candidates)

Additional Notes

• Must comply with facility-specific policies including call-off and return-to-office requests
• Candidate must review and acknowledge orientation and safety manuals prior to start
• Various state and facility-specific background and compliance checks will be completed onsite or prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with prior travel contract experience, strong Siemens and Epic system skills, and the required certifications and licensure to work in Virginia.
