Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Job Summary

Seeking a Radiologic Technologist skilled in diagnostic radiology, including portable and operating room (OR) imaging, with experience in emergency department (ED) trauma imaging. This role supports a busy imaging department with a variety of advanced radiology equipment.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Diagnostic Radiology (Imaging DX)
• Beds: Approximately 800
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
  • Evening Shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
  • Night Shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
• Equipment:

  • GE Radiology rooms (including portable units)
  • Shiatsu portable units
  • C-arms (OEC)
  • O-arms (Medtronics)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner Rad Net

Typical Procedures

• Diagnostic imaging (all areas)
• Portable imaging
• Trauma imaging
• Fluoroscopic procedures (preferred)
• Surgical imaging

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
• ARRT (R) Certification
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Experience in all areas of diagnostic radiology including portable and operating room (OR) imaging
• Experience in emergency department (ED) trauma imaging

Work Schedule & Policies

• Weekend rotation required
• Dress code: Black scrubs

• Candidates without skills in all areas of diagnostic radiology including portable and OR imaging will not be considered.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
