Description

Registered Nurse - Post Partum/Mom Baby

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Mother Baby Unit
Beds: 34 private couplet rooms
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 PCT/secretary
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 PCT/secretary
Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 couplets
Equipment: Alaris pumps, Bilirubin blankets/lights
EMR System: Cerner

Job Description

Provide nursing care on the Mother Baby Unit, including care for postpartum mothers and newborns.
Typical procedures include circumcisions.
Caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery is preferred.
STABLE certification is preferred.
Team player who enjoys teaching is the best personality fit.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Post Partum nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Mother Baby nursing
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
BLS certification
NRP certification

Additional Information

Floating areas include Labor & Delivery and NICU as helping hands.
Dress code: Navy blue/white scrubs.
Weekends are required; no on-call shifts.
