Description

Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
Beds: 8 Holding Bays and 4 Cath/EP suites
Staff: 16 total
Shift: Day shift 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM; rotating on-call weekends
Patient Ratio: 3 staff to 1 patient in procedural area
Equipment: Philips Fluoro Systems, Mac Lab, CardioLab for EP
EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

Perform procedures such as Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), Right Heart Catheterization (RHC), EP ablations, Pacers, ICDs, Cardioversions, TEEs, and Tilt Table Tests
Must take on-call responsibilities with the team
Must live within 30 minutes of the Cath Lab
Work within a high-functioning team with engaged physicians and a strong structural heart program
Positive, hardworking, and engaged in high-quality patient care

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
Certification: ACLS (with at least 1 year of ACLS experience), BLS
Proficient in scrub and monitoring skills with demonstrated experience
Understanding of risks associated with hazardous drugs according to USP 800
Ability to handle on-call duties

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with EP, Structural Heart, and Right Heart monitoring skills
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
