Job Title

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location

Columbia, SC
(Acute Care Hospital)

Duration

13 Weeks (Contract Assignment)

Shift

Day Shift: 4 × 10-hour shifts
Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
On-call required:
- 1–2 weekday call shifts (starting at 5:00 PM)
- 1 call weekend every 5 weeks (Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures in the operating room
Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgical cases
Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers before, during, and after procedures
Maintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with surgical protocols
Float within scope of practice to meet facility and surgical department needs

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license
Ability to take weekday and weekend on-call assignments
Radiation badge required (must be provided by the agency)

Current Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior travel nursing experience
Experience in acute care hospital OR settings
Familiarity with Epic charting system
