Description

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Facility: Holston Valley Medical Center
Location: 130 W Ravine Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660
Start Date: January 11, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3x12-Hour (18:30 – 07:00)
Schedule: Every other weekend, 36/36 or 36/48 schedule, float required
Submittal Type: Interview Required

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit, including acute care surgical and bariatric patients. The nurse will provide patient-centered care in accordance with hospital policies, including MS/Tele experience. Travel is accepted for first-time travelers. The nurse is required to float within the unit and participate in clinical nursing student support and education. Orientation includes 16 hours of non-billable training, with online CBLs conducted on Sundays.

Requirements

Licensure: Active TN RN License – Required (Must be in-hand at submission)

Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience, MS/Tele experience required

Patient Ratio Experience: Not specified

Travel Experience: Accepted (first-time travelers eligible)

Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred

Local Radius Rule: Candidate must live at least 100 miles from the facility

Certifications

BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS (AHA) – Preferred

Charting System

Epic – Required
