Job Title : Dietary Services - Pediatric Dietitian ( 3105882 )
Duration : 26 Weeks
Shift : 5×8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location : Sacramento, CA 95817
Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of total experience, including at least 2 years in an acute care setting.

Weekend Requirement: Typically rotates with the inpatient adult team every 2 months or as needed

- Enteral and parenteral nutrition
- Adult outpatient/clinic and acute care experience
- Acute MI
- Hyperlipidemia (elevated cholesterol/triglycerides)
- Heart failure
- Diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, and hypoglycemia
- Abdominal wounds and post-surgical care
- Chronic diarrhea, hyperemesis, IBS
- Pressor use and effects on GI function
- Cirrhosis
- Dialysis, hemodialysis, and CRRT
- Acute and chronic kidney disease
- Blood glucose and A1C management
- Lipid panels
- Medication knowledge including diuretics, immunosuppressants, insulin, laxatives, steroids, and appetite stimulants
- Dysphagia and aspiration precautions
- Enteral nutrition (tube feedings) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
- Fluid balance and fluid status assessment
- Nutrition therapy complications
- Therapeutic diet orders
- Cachexia, cancer, chronic wounds
- Development of nutrition plans of care
- Dietary guidelines and failure to thrive
- Fluid and electrolyte requirements
- Malabsorption syndromes, marasmus
- Metabolic demands and morbid obesity
- Nutrient deficiencies
- Nutrition assessments and reassessments
- Nutrition-Focused Physical Exam (NFPE)
- Protein-calorie malnutrition
- Refeeding syndrome
- Acute care hospital and ICU experience
